Burt Bacharach and Dionne Warwick — This medley came near the end of One Amazing Night, a 1998 live tribute show performed by various artists in honor of the music of Burt Bacharach. The event was recorded live at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City, featuring Bacharach himself conducting the orchestra and playing the piano. I find it odd, considering that in interviews over the years Warwick has consistently expressed her disdain for “Do You Know the Way to San Jose,” that not only was the song included in the medley for this big event, but chosen as the last song.

  • Walk On By
  • I Say a Little Prayer
  • Do You Know the Way to San Jose

.

(Below) Here’s another performance of the same medley used at “One Amazing Night.” I’ve yet to identify the date or location, but seems to be from about the same time as the 1998 tribute show.

.

Polar Music Prize for 2001 concert — Stockholm Concert Hall, Stockholm, Sweden — Burt Bacharach was one of three winners of this prize in 2001, the others being Robert Moog and Karlheinz Stockhausen. The songs in this selection are performed by various Swedish pop artists.
