Featuring vocals by Tex Beneke and the Modernaires, this recording, (RCA Bluebird B-11230-B) was a #1 hit for nine weeks beginning in early December 1941.

In the film Sun Valley Serenade (1941), Glenn Miller and his Orchestra performs the song in a production number which features vocals by Tex Beneke, Paula Kelly, and The Modernaires in the first part, followed by a section showcasing Dorothy Dandridge and the Nicholas Brothers, who dance as they sing a modified version of the chorus before the Nicholas Brothers perform an acrobatic dance sequence.
