Imagination (Jimmy Van Heusen, Johnny Burke)

Jazzstandards.com notes that “Imagination” was introduced by Fred Waring and His Pennsylvanians and became a favorite of the Glenn Miller Orchestra which had one of the four chart hits that year. The other three were Tommy Dorsey and His Orchestra with vocal by Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, and Ted Straeter and His Orchestra, vocal: Dorothy Rochelle.

Tommy Dorsey and his Orchestra, vocal: Frank Sinatra – recorded 10 April 1940, arrangement by Axel Stordahl  — I believe the introduction has been truncated; it begins (Don’t say I didn’t warn you.) with a loud horn blast.
