The fact that the 45 rpm single and 78 rpm single have different matrix numbers suggests that they are two separate recordings, but I’m not sure that’s true.

In 1962 Vic Damone released another version of “Ebb Tide,” recorded with an orchestra conducted by Billy May. Capitol matrix 45-36819 was issued in May 1962 on the 45 rpm single Capitol 4756, b/w “My Heart Will Tell You So.”
