    I’m looking for a 1940 song call Side by Side /We an’t got a barrel of money we may look raged and funny but as we go along singing are song side by side.

      Hi W J AT ASK,

      Side By Side (Harry Woods, Gus Kahn) was published and first recorded in 1927. It was a popular hit, with a number of early covers. The list of recordings provided by SecondHandSongs.com suggests that interest in the song may have been revived in the late 1950s, with at least two dozen recordings being released during the years 1958 to 1968.
