Lucas must have liked the song because he was still doing it in 1951

The Charleston Chasers — recorded 1930 or ’31, says the video provider

.

Lee Morse – recorded on 20 February 1931; issued on Columbia 2417-D, b/w “I’ve Got Five Dollars”

.

Louis Armstrong and his Orchestra – recorded in Chicago on 20 April 1931

Annette Hanshaw – 1931

.

Tom Barratt — issued on “Regal no.G21107,” according to the video provider, though 45Worlds.com indicates that a 78 rpm single by Tom Barratt was issued in July 1931 on (UK) Regal MR 348, b/w “Fall in Love With Me”

.

Jo Stafford with Paul Weston and his Orchestra – 1945

.

Nat King Cole had a hit with a 1951 recording. But this one sounds like late 50s to me.

I just discovered the sheet music recorded by Lonnie Ray and words & music by Roy Turk and Fred E. Ahlert in a collection from an estate that I purchased and am trying to find out if there’s any collection value.

    David,

Probably not worth much, unless he signed it, or it’s a rare version. In a quick Google search I found many for sale at eBay, Amazon, etc., with prices ranging from $1.44 (+ shipping) to $9.99 (free shipping).

    Regards,
