(below) Mel Tormé with the Page Cavanaugh Trio — This 1950 Snader telescription short evidently uses an alternate recording of Tormé with the trio, but features a stand-in group of (as yet unidentified) musicians behind the singer. Tormé’s chops with the brushes are real. He had played drums professionally as a teen.
